Shabnam Baqhiri

Shabnam Baqhiri (born 1996) graduated from the Writing for Performance program at the Utrecht School of the Arts in July 2023. She writes mainly drama, prose, and poetry. Her poetry collection, Kapot with a touch of soft hands, was published in 2022 by Uitgeverij Oevers. She has also published work in several literary magazines, including Hard/Hoofd, Schrijven Magazine, DIG, De Revisor, Meander Magazine, Deus Ex Machina and Hollands Maandblad. She also has several stage texts to her name such as Kapotte vleugels and DISTURBED LINES, her graduation thesis with which she wrote a political right-wing play.
